Brian Dawson
Speaking about his life as a Leather Man, and the importance of community education and leadership.

Mr. Dawson has been active in the Leather Community for many years. He was selected as International Mr. Drummer in 1989 and has been in demand as an MC, speaker, demonstrator and judge since that time. He was the keynote speaker for Leather Leadership Six and has presented at various leather events including Thunder in the Mountains, South Plains Leather, Southeast Leatherfest and Tribal Fire. He was recently awarded the Leatherman’s Heart Award at the 2007 Southwest Leather Conference. Mr. Dawson is the past facilitator of the Orange Coast Leather Assembly. He is a member of AVATAR Los Angeles and The Chicago Hellfire Club. He was also chosen as a Playgirl centerfold in April of 1978, was their 30th anniversary centerfold, and took 3rd at the physique competition (over 50 / Masters) at the 2002 Sydney Gay Games.

He feels that it is up to each of us to educate those new to the scene. He aligns himself with Old Guard ideals and thanks those that have gone before him for his training.
